THDC India Limited (THDCIL), established in 1988, is a prominent public sector enterprise in the power sector. It received 'Mini Ratna' Category-I status in 2009 and was upgraded to Schedule 'A' PSU in 2010. The equity distribution is now 74.496% with NTPC Limited and 25.504% with the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
With an authorized share capital of ₹4000 Crores and a paid-up capital of ₹3665.88 Crores as of March 31, 2024, THDCIL has been consistently profitable since its first project. The company is involved in a variety of renewable and thermal energy projects.
